FREE Strawberry 🍓 Tortoise Mod

Hello, friends! Today, I will share a very simple pattern modification of All From Jade’s tortoise pattern.

You need to purchase the base pattern:

I did not write the original tortoise pattern. You can purchase it here. Once you have the base of the pattern, you can use this modification to make your own strawberry tortoise!

Materials

For this mod, I used the following yarn and eyes:

• Yarn Bee Velvety Smooth Yarn - 04 Red
• Bernat Velvet Blanket Yarn - Pine
• I Love This Yarn! - White
• 20mm Green Eyes
  • These are my all time favorite eyes!

The Red was used on the shell, the green was used for the head, tail, belly, and legs, and the white was used for the “seeds”.

Edging Modification

Instead of the ice cream edge, I gave my tortoise more of a leaf edging. To do this, I followed the exact instructions Jade gave, except I used the following instead of the bubble stitch:

(HDC, DC, HDC)

I followed her same slip stitch instructions.
