Before we get started..
Welcome back! Today I am sharing my first crochet pattern! As of now, there is only a free, with ads, pattern available. This pattern is considered intermediate because I don’t post a ton of pictures to guide you step by step, nor do I include a stitch count for each row. This Grogu pattern is the perfect size for quick market-makes! Either sell Grogu as is or as a keychain!
Materials:
- Size 4 yarn in Green
- I used big twist medium weight yarn
- 12 or 15mm safety eyes or black yarn for embroidery.
- Size 3.75 hook
- stitch markers
- Polyfil
- Yarn needle for embroidery and weaving
Abbreviations
- CH - chain
- SC - single crochet
- dec - single crochet decrease
- inc - single crochet increase
- MC- Magic Circle (can use 2 chain method)
- Slst - slip stitch
- FO- fasten off
How to read:
- Pattern is works in a continuous round
- Anything written between * * and followed by x# should be repeated x number times.
- I use an invisible decrease to make it look neater.
The Pattern

Fasten off. Leave a long tail for weaving and shaping.
(Optional) Using a yarn needle, pull your yarn tail back through the bottom center of your ball and up through your magic ring. And pull up. Then insert your needle into row 1 and back down through the middle of the ball. Pull tight. This turns your circle into more of an oval. Snip the tail.
Finishing Touches
Nose: using green yarn and a yarn needle, embroider nose between the eyes. Eye-Lids: Using green yarn and a yarn needle, place 2 stitches directly over each eye. This gives an eye-lid look. You can use a toothpick with a little superglue to glue the lids in place of they don’t lay correctly. Ears: Sew the ears to the sides of Grogu’s head, in line with his eyes. I like mine to point up a little bit.
