No-Sew Pocket Sunflower 🌻

Welcome to my first published pattern!

This pattern is the free version of my pattern that is available to purchase on Ravelry (click here) or my Shopify (click here).

The paid version includes photo and video tutorials for beginners. This is the bare bones version. You are welcome to use this free version or purchase the paid version at either storefront. :)

Material list:

  • Sweet Snuggles Lite + Chenille Home Slim - Daffodil, Mustard, and Terracotta
  • Medium weight yarn: Black and white for face details
  • 5 mm hook
  • 15 mm Safety Eyes
  • Polyfil
  • Yarn needle

Abbreviations:

  • MR-Magic Ring
  • Sc - Single Crochet
  • Inc - Single Crochet Increase
  • Ch - Chain
  • DC - Double Crochet
  • Fo- Fasten off
  • Sl St- Slip Stitch

Notes:

  • This pattern is worked in continuous Rounds
  • When you slip stitch at the end of each petal, make sure to pull tight enough to make your petals defined. This will help the petals be well defined.

Let’s Begin!

Flower Center (make 2)

In Terrocotta

R1: Mr 8

R2: inc x 8 (16)

R3: (1 sc, inc) (24)

Change to Mustard:

R4: (2 sc, Inc) (32)

Place eyes (15mm) on either side of the magic circle in row 1. Add face details

On the first piece, fasten off leaving a short tail. On the second flower center, don’t fasten off and continue to row 5.

You will now be sewing the front and the back pieces together:

With wrong sides of both pieces facing each other, begin crocheting both pieces together.

R5: Sc around both pieces, stopping about half way to stuff.

Finish crocheting around and fasten off.

Weave in your tail.

Petals

Petal Stitch:

Ch 2, DC, Ch 2, sl st into second ch from hook, dc, ch 2, sl st into next stitch.

To fasten off:

sl st into first st , cut yarn leaving a tail long enough to knot together with the beginning tail.
