I have had an obsession with the new Starbucks summer berry refresher and decided to give it a shot and write up a pattern for one!
With enough interest, I might create a detailed version of this pattern to sell for now, enjoy the free pattern!
This pattern requires knowledge of how to crochet in the third back loop I have included a video tutorial that I found on YouTube explaining how to do that. If you have trouble, you can crochet in the back loop only (BLO) instead. It just won’t have a flat bottom or top.
Let’s Begin!
Materials:
- Parfait chunky yarn or equivalent: main color (seaside), in pink (Bubblegum), and for the straw (lime).
- Medium weight yarn: Black and white for face details
- 4.25 mm hook
- 24 mm safety eyes
- Polyfil
- Yarn needle
Abbreviations:
- MR- magic ring
- Sc - Single Crochet
- HDC - half double crochet
- Inc - single crochet increase
- BO - Bobble
- Yo, insert hook into stitch, pull up a loop, yo and pull through 2. 2 stitches remaining.
- Yo, insert hook into stitch, yo and pull up, yo and pull through 2. 3 stitches remaining.
- Yo, insert hook into stitch, yo and pull through 2. 4 stitches remaining.
- Yo and pull through remaining 4 stitches.
- BTLO- Back third loop only
The Body:
In Main Color
R1: Mr 8
R2: inc x 8 (16)
R3: (sc, inc) (24)
R4: sc, inc, (2sc, inc) x 7, sc. (32)
R5: BTLO sc (32)
Color change to Pink for each BO.
R6: (sc 3, BO) (32)
R7: 1 sc (BO, sc 3) (32)
R8: (sc 3, BO) (32)
Fasten off the Pink and continue in main color only.
R9- 20: sc (32)
Insert eyes between rows 10 and 11, about 4 stitches apart.
Embroider any face details.
R21: mark the first back loop of the round. You will be crocheting around this later. FLO sc (32).
Starting in the marked first back loop of R21, HDC around (32)
R22: BTLO sc around (32)
R23: dec around (16)
R24: dec around (8)
Stuff firmly. Fasten off leaving a long tail to close. Weave closed and hide the tail.
Straw:
R1: 8 Hdc in MR
R2: BTLO Sc (8)
R3-7: sc around (8)
Fasten off with a long tail for sewing. Attach straw to the lid using whatever color you would like!
